Dear Business Owners,
As winter weather continues, we appreciate your help in keeping sidewalks and pedestrian areas safe around your properties.
Melting snow and ice from roofs, eaves, and building surfaces can refreeze on sidewalks, creating slippery conditions, icicles, and ice dams that pose a risk to pedestrians, customers, and employees.
We kindly ask that you:
- Regularly inspect and safely remove snow and ice from roofs, gutters, and facades where feasible.
- Avoid directing melted water or shoveled snow into public walkways.
These steps help protect public safety, reduce potential liability, and keep our Village welcoming and accessible.
Thank you for your continued cooperation. For questions or guidance, please contact the Department of Public Works at 845-677-3022 or millbrookhighway@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Ethan Kelly
Highway Superintendent
Village of Millbrook
