Heat Advisories continue for most valley areas through 8 pm this evening, with Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings for much of the region for Monday and Tuesday. These dangerously high heat index values will lead to heat-related health impacts, especially for vulnerable populations and those sensitive to heat. The hot weather may continue into Wednesday, especially across the Mid-Hudson Valley and southern Litchfield County.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Sunny and hot, with a high near 93. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
