DO NOT CREATE A TRAFFIC HAZARD
Do not place brush in the street or anywhere they will interfere with traffic.
DO NOT PILE BRUSH OR OTHER MATERIALS ON STORM CATCH BASINS
This can cause flooding situations and clog the storm drains.
DO NOT PUT OUT INAPPROPRIATELY PREPARED BRUSH OR DEBRIS
This service is not meant for land clearing by homeowners or landscaping generated by contractors. It is offered to our residents to assist with yard upkeep. The village will not pick up logs, tree stumps, tree trunks, wood, root balls, cuttings, or grass clippings. We reserve the right to remove inappropriately prepared brush or debris and will assess a special removal fee to the property owner.
DO NOT PUT GRASS CLIPPINGS, DIRT OR SOD IN THE STREET FOR REMOVAL
This is not allowed under any circumstance and they are never eligible for curbside pick-up. This can cause costly repairs to the catch basins. During storms these materials find their way to catch basins and may cause backups in our system.
DO NOT PUT OUT PROCESSED WOOD, FURNITURE, HOUSEHOLD WASTE AND/OR POTS
This is not included in the brush pick-up program. Transfer station passes may be purchased at the Town of Washington Town Hall located at 10 Reservoir Drive or by calling 845-677-3419.
